What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour start time. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure are non-refundable. To cancel, simply contact us via email or phone with your booking reference.

How many people in the group?

Maximum 6 guests per tour. This small group size ensures everyone can hear clearly, ask questions freely, and receive personalized attention. It also allows us to explore narrow streets and hidden corners that larger groups cannot access comfortably.

In what languages is the tour offered?

Tours are available in English and French. Simon is fluent in both languages and adapts his delivery to the group’s preference. If you have a mixed-language group, he can accommodate both languages during the same tour.

Where does the tour start?

The tour begins at Place de Gaulle in front of the Porte de France (the large stone gateway to the old town). This is easily accessible by foot from the train station (10-minute walk) or by local bus. Detailed meeting instructions with a map will be sent in your confirmation email.

Is the tour suitable for children?

The tour is designed for adults with an interest in history and architecture. While children are welcome and go free (under 16), the content is quite detailed and may not hold the attention of young children. Teenagers interested in history typically enjoy the tour. There are no special activities designed for children.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, the old town of Antibes has cobblestone streets, narrow passages, and steps that make wheelchair access very difficult. The tour is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. If you have limited mobility but can walk short distances with rest breaks, please contact us to discuss whether the tour would work for you.

What is the fitness level required?

The tour requires moderate fitness. We walk about 2 kilometers at a leisurely pace over 90 minutes with frequent stops. The old town is largely flat with some gentle slopes. You should be comfortable standing for periods of 10-15 minutes and walking on uneven cobblestone surfaces. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.

What happens if it rains?

The tour operates in light rain—the narrow streets of the old town provide natural shelter, and much of the route has covered sections. We recommend bringing an umbrella or light rain jacket. In case of heavy rain or severe weather, we will contact you to reschedule or offer a full refund. The decision is made 2-3 hours before tour departure.

Do we go inside any buildings?

This is primarily an exterior walking tour focusing on architecture, urban layout, and historical context. We do not enter museums or attractions (those require separate tickets and take significant time). However, we may step inside the cathedral briefly if it’s open, as it’s a public space. The tour focuses on revealing details in the streets, ramparts, gates, and buildings that most visitors never notice.

Who is Simon, the guide?

Simon is a native Antibois (born and raised in Antibes) with a deep passion for local history. He has spent over 8 years researching Antibes history in municipal archives, archaeological reports, and historical manuscripts. His approach is scholarly but accessible—he shares genuine discoveries from research, not recycled guidebook information. As a local, he has insights into the town that outside guides simply cannot match.
