Best Time to Visit Antibes: Month by Month Guide

Spoiler: there is no bad time. Some months are just better than others!

March-April: The Awakening

Temperature 12-18C. Mimosa blooms everywhere. Thin crowds, low prices. The market has early spring vegetables. Perfect for authenticity seekers.

May-June: THE SWEET SPOT

This is it! Temperature 20-26C. Sea is swimmable. Crowds have not arrived. Everything is open. Best for walking tours – the old town is almost empty.

Local secret: come in June. July and August are for the brave. June is for the clever.

July-August: HIGH SEASON

Hot (28-33C), crowded, expensive. But electric! Festivals, night markets, Mediterranean energy. Pro tip: explore before 10AM or after 5PM. Midday is for swimming and gelato.

September-October: SECOND SWEET SPOT

Warmest sea of the year. Fewer crowds. Golden light. Harvest season at the market – grapes, figs, vegetables. This is when locals enjoy their town.

November-February: THE QUIET SEASON

8-15C. Not beach weather. But stunning light, empty streets, half the price. Museums open. Restaurants full of locals. You will have the ramparts to yourself at sunset.

Bottom line: May-June and September-October are best. But every month has its charm. Book your walking tour whenever you come!
